How to Refer on Noble Hire – An Introduction
How to Refer on Noble Hire – An Introduction
One of the most novel functionalities on the Noble Hire job board is the ability to refer your friends & acquaintances to open positions (and get rewarded for it).
For those of you that recently discovered our platform, here’s a brief rundown on how this works…
- Companies register on the job board, create their profiles, and post job ads.
- For each open position, the organization posts a referral bonus (which ranges from 1 to 3 months of the employee salary)
- Users can apply for the position directly (and earn a signing bonus), or refer their friends or acquaintances for a referral bonus which ranges from 4,000 to 10,000 BGN.
- If your referee ends up being hired, they’ll be on a trial period for 3 months.
- If the employee gets hired permanently after a 3-month trial period, the referral is considered successful and you earn the referral bonus.
Sounds pretty straightforward, right? Now, you’re probably wondering what’s the exact process for making a successful referral.
In this guide, we’re going to give you the know-how you need to become a successful Noble Hire Referrer.
First, we’ll cover the “why” – the reasons you refer & how you’re making a positive impact by connecting people with positions.
Then, we’ll give you an exact step-by-step explanation on how to make a successful referral and get started with using the platform.
So, let’s dive right in!
Noble Hire is currently in Beta. Right now, you can only make referrals for our openings. The full launch is scheduled for the start of April, so stay tuned!
Our mission at Noble Hire is to help companies find the very best talent.
To achieve this, we’re using the referral mechanics – giving you an incentive (the referral bonus) to help match your friends with interesting companies.
If you’re well-connected & are considered to be an authority in your niche, you probably have a lot of people asking for career advice, directions, opinions, and so on.
As a given, you always want to help – but there’s no incentive for you to go the extra mile. If you see a job ad relevant to a friend or two somewhere, you’ll probably forward it to them. You won’t, however, put too much thought or effort into it.
This is where the referral bonuses come in. We give you a reason to really go that extra mile AND make a decent living out of it at the same time.
How to Refer
Getting started with referring on the Noble Hire job board is as easy as 1-2-3. In fact, we made the process so simple, that you can even get started right now, whether you’re a professional recruiter or a complete newbie.
Want to learn more? Read on to learn the 3 steps you need to take in order to make successful referrals & earn that sweet referral bonus!
Step #1 – Find an Interesting Position
As we’re still in Beta, we only have openings for our own positions. Once the platform launches, though, you’ll be able to pick from a lot of different companies and positions. You’ll be able to do this through our Discover Company view…
Or the job view…
What really puts Noble Hire apart from most job boards is the amount of information you can learn about the companies and positions just by looking at their profiles.
How does the office look? Check. Perks & benefits? Check. A sneak-peek at the company culture? Check!
We make it as easy as possible for you to find opportunities that would be interesting for your friends or acquaintances.
Once you’ve identified several interesting companies, you can start looking for people within your network that might be interested.
Step #2 – Find the Right Person
In some cases, you’ll have the right person in mind the moment you look at a position.
In most, though, that won’t really be the case. You probably don’t have a list of C++ developers looking for a job RIGHT NOW, so you’ll have to do a bit of digging.
*If you do have a list, though, congrats, it’s going to be a smooth ride!
As a start, you can go through your LinkedIn network. Input the position which you’re trying to fill in the search bar & start looking through people in your network…
If that didn’t yield a lot of results, you can also try one of the two following options…
- Asking Around – You probably don’t know what every single one of your friends does. Know someone that was studying web dev in school? They might be the person you’re looking for. Reach out & ask what they do (and if they’re looking for an interesting position).
- Social Sharing – If you can’t really find anyone relevant, you can generate your social share link and post it on your social media profiles. To do this, click “share to your network” on the relevant position page. If anyone applies to the job posting through this link or refers someone through it, you’ll win 20% of the referral bonus.
Once you’ve found a handful of relevant connections, you can move on to the next stage…
Step #3 – Pitch & Connect
Now, you need to reach out and explain the opportunity to your contacts.
While you could simply fill in the referral form with the person’s contact information and call it a day, that’s probably not the most efficient way to go about it.
First, you need to figure out if they’re even interested. If they receive a random referral email from us without knowing what’s the deal, chances are, they’ll simply just ignore it.
What you should do is to reach out to them personally & let them know about the opportunity. If it sounds like something they’d be interested in pursuing, you can fill in the form and we’ll take over from there.
Once you’ve made a few referrals, it’s time to pat yourself on the back – you’ve done something awesome.
If one of your referrals gets past the trial period (3 months) & is permanently hired, the referral is considered successful. In which case, you can expect a call from us on how to claim your referral bonus!
One successful referral, though, is no reason to stop. You can always just go back to step #1, find new positions, and make new referrals. Your friends will thank you for it!
