The Job 

We are looking for a talented and driven Quality Assurance Engineer to join our fast-growing team in Sofia. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you need to be closely familiar with enterprise web applications and will be expected to leverage that knowledge to develop sustainable solutions, develop your expertise, and grow together as a team. 

Some of your key responsibilities: 

• Take ownership of software testing and test execution controlling  
• Be proactive in clarifying functional and nonfunctional requirements with both business stakeholders and team members  
• Drive the end-to-end testing initiatives throughout the entire SDLC from test planning, test design, test execution, test reporting, and performing UAT sessions 
• Carry out automated tests and work towards maximizing test coverage  
• Contribute to the improvements in our toolset, standards, and software solutions  
• Stay on top of new, relevant technologies

What We Are Looking For 

We’re looking for a person with: 

• Three or more years of experience as a quality assurance engineer. 
• Expertise in software engineering with a desire to learn even more. Ability to design, develop, and execute complex end-to-end quality assurance strategies. 
• Experience with Agile software delivery models, like Scrum and Kanban. 
• Experienced in writing test cases, reviewing requirements, identifying and logging bugs. 
• Good grasp of automation testing methodologies. 
• Deep knowledge and at least 2 years experience in UI and API automation testing with Java or Javascript/Typescript 
• Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, TestNG, Maven, RestAssured, Postman, Swagger.   
• Effective cross-functional collaboration and ability to work with developers, DevOps engineers, product owners, and other stakeholders is a must. 
• Ambition and eagerness to learn and reach new levels of technical and personal mastery. Ability to grasp new concepts effectively, push yourself out of your comfort zone, and tackle unexpected challenges. 
• Intolerance of mediocrity, enthusiasm, and drive to achieve the best possible outcome.  
• Self-discipline and precision in organizing and focusing your attention effectively. You can be entrusted with responsibilities, manage, and keep deadlines. 
• Be a team player to contribute to your team's success. "Ego" is a hated word. 
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.

• Automation framework: Carina Framework with Java, Playwright with JS/TS  
• Toolset: Selenium + Browser Stack (UI), Postman (API)  
• SDLC: Gherkin + Cucumber, BDD  
• Project management: Xray on Jira, Azure Test Plans

Can Be an Advantage 

• Experience in implementing CI/CD processes for scheduled execution of test suits 
• Experience with Gherkin and Cucumber syntax
